How I Build My Legitimate Online Business and Website.

If you follow this site since the beginning, then you already know that I do not know HTML. Then, how am I building this website? I have to say SBI helps me through this journey. Taking the opportunity of the site one year anniversary, I like to tell you about SBI and how I build my site.

What is SBI (Site Build It)?

SBI is like an online college course. When you just come in to the class, it will give you a 10 days plan, extensive resource, information, instruction, and tools for your need. What is great about SBI is that it not confines you in one method of study. Instead, SBI have text if you are a reader or video for visual learner such as myself.

The tools itself will help ease up on the technical problem that you may face, so, you don't have to learn extensive HTML and program to build your site. The goal of SBI is help entrepreneurs concentrate on their own business and make money, rather than spending time learning something that they are not enjoy learning.

How good is SBI, you may ask? Over 25 to 30 colleges (still adding) through the US and the world implement SBI course into their program. SBI program helps students to have real life experience in the business world minus the hassle of being a web master to do so.

What is SBI do and what it don't?

I will tell you what it doesn't do first. It is not a get rich quick scheme. SBI will not promise with you that if you sign up for the program, you will see the money rolling in. You will not see the picture of a Ferrari on the main page of SBI.

What the site does is promise to help you create a business. As any business in life, you need hard work, determination, and a great mentor. While SBI cannot help you with the first two but it can be an excellent mentor in building your own business.

Once you sign up for SBI, the program with give a 10 days online course. Even though, it said 10 days online course, but you can take as long as you like. The goal of this is to help you to understand the basic of internet and the tools that you can use. You can watch these videos online or you can download on to your computer if you like to work offline. As I mention above, if you not a visual learner, then the program will provide you with a small e-book for each day as well.

Keyword and topic

After doing some light reading, the first thing that the program guides you through is choosing a topic for your site. SBI will provide you with brainstorming tools and some keyword tools at your disposal. These tools are there to help you analyze your market by looking at real Demand, real Supply, and profit for every keyword that you will use. This considers one of the most important steps in building a site. Your goal is finding a niche or market that has a high in Demand but low on competition. Hence, more profit. This is a powerful tool because you can get an estimate on your potential niche before doing the site.

For example, let said that you want to talk about China; however, internet is flood with information on China. The tools will teach you to narrow it down into a smaller topic such as the Great Wall or where a lot people demand but not a whole lot of people provide the information. This way you can build a successful site right from the beginning.

After you have find an idea that you love and have knowledge about, SBI will help you register your domain name into the internet. SBI will guide you step by step how to do this. The best thing is you don't have pay extra for domain name and hosting service, it is already included in your membership.

Build you content

Everything you need to do to build the site is through an online interface. Since there is no download, there is no installation that you have to worry about. The whole system is build on point and click system. SBI will not require from you to learn HTML to put your page on the internet. It will teach you how build your content block by block.

Building free traffic

By the end of the first 5 days, you can use SBI tools to submit you site into all four main search engines on the internet (Google, Yahoo, Ask, and Live). Meaning, you can pick up free inbound links immediately. What's great about this feature is automatic submission to the search engine. When you have new pages of content that you just develop, SBI system will automatic submit that page to all the search engines. Therefore, when people go search in Google, they can easy find your page and site. Instead of using pay service to bring visitors to your site, search engine will provide you with free visitors for years to come.

The thing that draws me the most in SBI is the people. If you do not understand something about the videos or guide, you can stop by the forum and the people there is more than willing to help you. I have not seen anywhere else that if you post a question in the morning and have a reply by a couple of hours (sometimes in minutes).

The forum has one section call "Submit for site review." This is where you can submit your site link and request for feedback from other SBIers. This is a great feature if you need a flesh pair of eyes to give you some criticism to make your site better from people who have go through your stage before.

All SBI seniors are very capable to help. Some of them have stay with the program for years. When you are asking question, you know that you will get the answer that can guide you to a right direction. You don't have to worry about a blind (newbie) leading a blind (newbie).

Most of SBI sites are place on top 1-3% of the World Wide Web, which also including this site (bragging, I know). SBI web pages itself is rank in about 4000. It is not a surprise because it is quite a popular service and widely use for the right reason.

As you looking at these customer web sites, one thing is worth to mention that these websites are not flashy. These sites do not wow you of how it look, however, it makes up the wow in content. SBI have teaches their members to provide visitors with reliable content to help whoever comes to the site. Meaning, you don't need to be a web master or web design with a gorgeous website to be successful on the internet. However, if you want to create a gorgeous site, SBI also provide you with tools to help you with that as well.

While helping other people, SBIers also help themselves. Some of these sites can make anywhere from 500- 10,000 dollars a month. It just depend on what you goal and how hard you work on it. Again, this is not getting rich quick scheme, you need to work hard. Sorry, there is no shortcut to hard work.

Yes, let's take me for example.

If you follow for the beginning until now, you know that I don't know HTML that well. I start the website on March of 2008, but did not work on it until November of 2008. Through hard work, I don't need a great looking site, yet I still able to have visitors coming to my site. Since beginning of 2009, each month is well over 2200 visits and total more 1000 unique visitors. For my site, I'm proud to say that since the beginning until now. I'm had not pay a cent to promote my site, and yet, my site steadily increase in visitors.

I cannot say that I able to make about 10,000 dollar a month yet, but that will come in time. The wonderful thing about building a site is once you succeed, you will generate an income for years to come. You can count on it because it is your, and you can't cut yourself off or layoff your own self.
